Toujiro and Shelbie meet up at the mall for their first actual date, no last night doesn’t count- we talked about this! Shelbie’s excited, but with the fight with her brother fresh in her memory and her mother’s birthday party on the horizon, there’s a lot of decisions for her to make.

The Digimon system we're using is being homebrewed by Lio as we play test it. Our theme song and graphics were made using AI, and the background music in most episodes comes from M4S on Spotify.

SPEAKER_05

Hi, it's Little Chomp. Welcome back to the Chaos Cruise here. Last time, Zangamon and Glutchmon were attacked by Leomon, and Sangamon decided to give him her Sapatama. This led to a fight with four members of the Zodiac 13 because it was an ambush. Glutemon ran off to try to get their people, and Sagittarium chased him down, leaving Sangamon to face Arizmon and Taurus Mon alone. Aresmon was defeated, and the fight with Taurus Mon was going pretty well, actually. But then the Digidestant got there and he ran. Sangamon and Kyo got into a fight about whether they should be hanging out alone or traveling with people, and Sangamon refused to leave without healing Cherrimon. So they just yelled at each other there, I guess. Back in the human world, Shelby woke up and it was way too early for her date, so she decided to actually research some of the stuff that's come up. Um she learned about Tagia Akane, one of the five stars, and how wealthy and apparently altruistic he is. Uh Tactics Team 9 doesn't show up in any kind of database or ranking or anything like that, which is weird. And there's also no public records about Kiomori to give her any kind of timeline about how quickly she developed. Which is fine, annoying, but fine. At about this point, there was a knock on her door, and somebody slid a threatening note underneath. Before she could respond to that, they broke into her apartment from the balcony, and while she was getting ready to attack, and found out it was just her older brother, thinking this was a great joke. They got into a fight that escalated too far, and so now she doesn't know if she's even gonna go to her mother's birthday party. But once he leaves, she storms out of her place and goes to the bar she visited with Lena just to clear her head. And finds out there's a Vex concert tonight. So that's something.

SPEAKER_00

Um okay. So Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

We are going to swap over as you are going to the mall. Uh what a what a shit fucking concession this'll be. Let's all go hang out at the mall.

SPEAKER_16

What do you mean?

SPEAKER_11

What a crappy hole over kinda idiot made this.

SPEAKER_12

Uh cool. Um so you head over to the mall. Um it's fairly busy today, people moving in and out, doing their thing. It's just, you know, the basics of the day.

SPEAKER_16

Not, I'm gonna try to find Tojiro.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. Uh you move your party forth. Uh you find Tojiro just standing around waiting.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, he's now.

SPEAKER_12

As he looks up and nods towards you. See? Yo, what's up? How you doing? Uh Did you find it okay?

SPEAKER_18

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Good. Good. It is the mall.

SPEAKER_05

It is the mall. Yeah. Um what it what do you need to do here?

SPEAKER_12

We don't we don't need to do anything at the mall. We just hang out at the mall sometimes. Oh! Usually people throw away bagels. That's kind of a big deal for us.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, have you eaten yet?

SPEAKER_12

That's not what matters.

SPEAKER_05

You don't want to get food with me.

SPEAKER_12

No, I just told you we're gonna get food. Did you br uh did you bring uh anything that like you you'll see, you'll see. Flamwiz, you've got a spare bag, right? I got the Hessian bags. Alright. We gotta go outside. My buddy will let us through.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

You walk through a store as his friend sits there and buzzes you out into the back lot. Uh he goes straight to a dumpster and starts jumping in it.

SPEAKER_05

Gonna just like throw the stuff out and then we bag it or what do you mean? Are you gonna toss it? Chevy ready to catch something?

SPEAKER_12

No, no, no. We collect it all after the fact. Uh you just have the bags are for sorting garbage versus good stuff.

SPEAKER_09

Oh.

SPEAKER_12

Uh, as he starts like dropping out uh pretty much uh bags of like sealed plastic bags filled with like old bread loaves and stuff.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

See. Alright, just look out for any uh any instances of uh you know your usual things, like I don't know. Uh like what? Mold.

SPEAKER_05

And if we find mold, we throw that in the trash, yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Okay. I think she's got it. Let's see, cool. Uh they take the next hour doing this.

SPEAKER_05

I will sort stuff with them, sure.

SPEAKER_12

Sure. Some me a um trip check to see how well you do.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. She's not like super comfortable, but she's definitely trying to downplay discomfort. Twenty.

SPEAKER_12

Twenty. Yeah, you're smashing through it as you're sorting. Uh feels a bit weird.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, definitely.

SPEAKER_03

But like, she's probably also surprised that some of this food is good. Because, like, this is a real thing.

SPEAKER_13

Food waste where the food is still fine, but for some reason they're not selling it, and she would not have experienced that ever. So Imagine that's weird.

SPEAKER_12

Uh, yeah. It's it's a bit weird. Uh as you go through the dumpsters eventually, he gets out, is he? Cool. Cool. That's uh how good's the hole, Flame Wizard, is he? Uh I'd say two days. Probably two max. Is he? Alright. That's good, that's good. Now we do the next part. My friend at uh my friend who works at the uh McRonald's here uh leaves the back door open, which means that we get to use the grill. Let's move.

SPEAKER_02

Hey.

SPEAKER_12

He heads to the back of a fast food, like the fast food shop here.

SPEAKER_08

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_12

As he as he just walks in, uh It is closed at the moment. They are undergoing renovations as he walks in and just starts like checking all the stuff in here, turning all the like fryers and shit on as he. Alright, what have we got that we can deep fry as Flameless Mon just? I've got like 12 bananas. Yeah, we can flip we can definitely deep fry bananas. That's doable. Like whole or like uh they both look at you like you're a moron.

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_12

You can just deep fry the banana. Yeah, what are you crazy? No, that's why we do this, is he pulls out the bread, uh, and they start ripping the bread apart.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh, they start like rolling it out. Uh, do you wanna roll a brain's check to see what they're doing?

SPEAKER_05

No, because Shelby's never had to cook a thing in her life. The robot asked her what she wanted, and she said what she wanted, and then she waited and got food. So I would like to fail this.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, sure. You have no idea what's going on. No. Uh. So they go about this. They go over as they open up the fridge, as he day old milk. Um sorry, day past expiry milk. As he okay, that should be good. Bring bring it uh as he then opens a bag as he pulls out a bunch of loose eggs as he uh swallow eggs are really good for this. He cracks them up. He is He starts like mixing stuff and then starts c uh they steal the flour here. Uh mix the milk in, do all that. Uh I'm just gonna.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like they're making French toast or something, but it's because I've cooked it before.

SPEAKER_12

You'd actually be surprised what they're cooking.

SPEAKER_05

Well, no, if it was French toast, they wouldn't be they wouldn't be tearing the bread apart. But you do need the eggs and the milk and stuff. I will probably be surprised what they're cooking.

SPEAKER_12

15's enough. Cool. They uh they start mixing it up, putting it through, as they then coat the bananas and stuff in this uh before dropping it into the basket and dropping it in. Uh, they just made a batter. You can literally make batter out of bread.

SPEAKER_05

Really?

SPEAKER_12

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

You chop it down, drop it into a blender, make it like fine breadcrumbs, and then yeah, pour water or milk.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. So we're going, I mean, uh, we're going kind of like a fried plantain route. Yeah.

unknown

Okay, cool.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. Which they uh do this for the next like five, ten minutes.

SPEAKER_05

Uh it takes them like find a place to like sit down. And I guess if it's closed, I can bring they have loose chairs or something and bring one of those back here.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_12

They uh they do this for sorry, what I said five, ten minutes. They do this for about an hour and a half.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh, as they then start like cutting up these things, setting them all out. There's like five containers worth of deep fried banana that they can put into uh little boxes, put into their bag as they Alright, we're good here. Oh. Next we gotta go to uh a guy over in the food court.

SPEAKER_05

Uh he runs it's fine. I'll pick up the chair and go put it back.

SPEAKER_12

Okay. Cool. Uh he turns everything off, exits out. As you walk back through, go to the food court where you were just in a store that was at the food court, but he refused to go through.

SPEAKER_16

Well, it's closed. We should be walking out the front of it.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, doesn't want anyone to see him.

SPEAKER_16

Right.

SPEAKER_12

Uh he walks, he walks over as you see him like start talking to a dude, and then all of a sudden you see what they're doing. They're trading these fried things for actual like bits of um for money, which they uh after a bit they come back together as he. Alright, how much did you get Flemwiz? Is he? Uh 48 50. See, alright. With mine. Alright, now we can go shopping. Let's do it.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

They go through the shopping mall. Uh, straight up. You're just witnessing a dude who doesn't work, doesn't do anything, barely survives. Yeah. Cheating the system.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Uh they buy more bananas, they buy more flour on top of everything else.

SPEAKER_08

So I'm just hanging out with him for work.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. He's taking you on his work trip.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Let's see. Oh, cool. So what uh how are you doing? How's your day going?

SPEAKER_03

Um I mean this part's okay. The morning was not.

SPEAKER_12

That's the morning not good.

SPEAKER_05

My older brother dressed up as a serial killer and broke into my apartment as a joke, and then we got into an argument, and he told me just not to come back.

SPEAKER_12

Hilarious.

SPEAKER_07

It's not.

SPEAKER_12

Oh, okay. My bad. What uh is it bad because he like dressed up as a serial killer, or is it bad because he told you not to come back? Both um You don't wanna What, you won you like hanging out with your family?

SPEAKER_05

No, but I really don't want to be completely alone in the world. And I just thought I would have a little more time to fix that. Uh flame sorry, no, brain. Whisby told you last night that I smell like loneliness, so um. Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

He's wrong. Smell kinda like smell more like pineapple and persimmon.

SPEAKER_09

Why are you sniffing me?

SPEAKER_12

Fuck you, I wasn't sniffing you. Um it's very noticeable. I deal in lots of fruit. I can I have a nose for fruit. It's not my fault. Also, how can you be lonely? We have Digimon. We're the one people in the world that don't get to be lonely. I mean Wizamon! Not those bananas! We can't afford Ladyfingers, you know this! They taste better! I care about goodness! I care about see you are you are a major flaw on our whole system, Don Giro! If we make better things, we can charge more! Not if we have to pay more! Sorry, this is a daily thing.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, that's fine.

SPEAKER_12

We've had this fight at least 17 times. He just does not understand the viability of lady fingers. They do not work. They're too small.

SPEAKER_03

Um you two can sort out however I'm not gonna interfere with your business.

SPEAKER_12

What do you mean? It's not a business, it's just life.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'm still not gonna interfere with it.

SPEAKER_12

Fair enough. What about you?

SPEAKER_01

Wood how's your work going?

SPEAKER_05

Uh I mean I guess it's fine. They gave me a student teacher, so now I'm allowed to miss school if I want!

SPEAKER_08

Which is helpful.

SPEAKER_01

Um I would never show up again.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, well. Oh, I never told you why I actually teach, um.

SPEAKER_12

No. I presumed it was because you're tomorrow and you're like, uh, I have to make everyone know that I am intelligent.

SPEAKER_05

POST our grade! Well they posted our grades in the hallway at Water Me.

SPEAKER_03

You saw them!

SPEAKER_12

I didn't look at your grades. Oh, I didn't care about anyone's grades but my own. Nobody else was important to me back then.

SPEAKER_05

My name was not near yours. It's in the the middle. The always You were in the middle?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Ugh.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I know. This is why I said you were the smart one.

SPEAKER_12

I'm not that smart. Smart enough.

SPEAKER_05

Savvy that working actually changes your results, so it's no better than me.

SPEAKER_12

Hey. Just because working didn't change it doesn't mean that you're dumb.

SPEAKER_05

She smiles, but it's one of those like tense I'm not going to say the thing, smiles.

SPEAKER_11

Fucking called me dumb, you motherfucker.

SPEAKER_03

What? Are you speaking for me or was he saying that?

SPEAKER_12

No, I was speaking for you.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, no, but that's not it!

SPEAKER_12

Okay, good. Uh he stands there and see just no. Just honestly, there's plenty of things that are a fucking problem with school anyway. People in schooling systems don't work a lot of the time.

SPEAKER_05

Well. Our art teacher in high school is one of the few people who actually like saw me and paid attention to me and wasn't just disappointed. And I I'm sorry, I don't want to be crying. My brother just threw me off. I'll get it shut down so she don't have to deal with this. Um.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, man, it's gross. We're in the middle of a store. Don't be don't be crying. People will think that I'm beating you or something. Be weird. Then I'll have to answer questions, and you'll have to answer questions, and then Wispy will have to answer questions, and they're gonna draw a blank there. It's gonna be a whole fing problem.

SPEAKER_06

She will just like.

SPEAKER_05

How do I say this? Like the emotion just drops out of her face. And she just silently dries her tears and just isn't it?

SPEAKER_12

You know I was joking, right? You're allowed to cry. It don't matter if you cry.

SPEAKER_05

It's annoying and it's always too much, and so it's not gonna be a problem.

SPEAKER_12

Who gives a fuck? If you if you care about what all these fucking morons around us think, you're gonna get into the state where they dictate what you can do. I care about what you're doing. You're allowed to do whatever you want.

SPEAKER_05

And I don't want you to be annoyed with me like my family is. So I just won't do it.

SPEAKER_12

I ain't never gonna be annoyed with you like that. I don't care. You shouldn't care. Nobody should care. Hey, kicks over a thing. Everybody should do whatever the fuck they want.

SPEAKER_05

No! You're in a store! You're trying to buy stuff! We'll set the thing back up. Sorry! Sorry, it's an accident, it's okay.

SPEAKER_12

I'm not sorry! It's not an accident. I did this on purpose. Fuck your store. Fuck your stand.

SPEAKER_05

You are trying to buy food from these people. You need to at least check out the food stuff.

SPEAKER_12

Uh they'll what are they gonna do? They gonna ban me from coming here? Cool. The only power people have over you is the power you g give them. Flame was bomb! Yeah, bud. Oh. You need to express some emotion. What emotions are you feeling right now? I'm feeling pretty angry! What are you feeling angry about? I'm feeling angry that I don't get to buy Lady Finger bananas! Who are you mad at? I'm mad at you!

SPEAKER_05

Fuck you! Fuck you! Okay, if I- Okay, if I promise that I got the point, can we stop?

SPEAKER_12

This isn't about you! They both scream as they look at you. We can't buy lady finger! You don't know what we can or can't do! You never try! As uh Gemon, they're fun. They are they have lots of energy.

SPEAKER_05

Glad you like them.

SPEAKER_12

Wispy goes invisible and hides somewhere.

SPEAKER_05

That's totally fine.

SPEAKER_12

Pretends not to know these people.

SPEAKER_05

Just stay close enough that if something happens, you can get to me, okay?

SPEAKER_12

There's always no response, but sure.

SPEAKER_05

I really want it to be like warm breeze. As acknowledgement at some point. We gotta we gotta talk about this.

SPEAKER_12

Gem1 starts jumping around your feet as these two fight. Uh a manager walks up to you and says, Excuse me! Yeah. You can't be making a commotion like this in this store.

SPEAKER_18

I know.

SPEAKER_12

This is ridiculous. You two I'm gonna have to ask you to leave as Titra looks at him and Flame Wizon looks at him and see, and what if we fucking don't? What will you do?

SPEAKER_04

Please don't.

SPEAKER_12

Well, I'll call the police then, and what will they do?

SPEAKER_04

Please don't.

SPEAKER_12

They will come take you out of the store to see. Uh I'm not super scared of police. I'm not scared of nothin'. Blame Wizman? Yeah. I ain't scared of nothing either.

SPEAKER_05

Hoping to spend more time with you today and not like buying bars. Can we just buy the stuff you want and go? Please.

SPEAKER_12

You got lucky. You got lucky. But tomorrow we'll be back. I know Tojuro, you do this every day. I know I do. And I appreciate the leniency you give me.

SPEAKER_08

And I will be working tomorrow, so.

SPEAKER_12

Oh. You are welcome, Tojuro, and we appreciate your uh your things. Usually. I appreciate your professionality. See knocks over the Ladyfinger banana stand. See, god damn it. Every time. Uh they walk out and how expensive are Ladyfinger bananas?

SPEAKER_00

Not that expensive.

SPEAKER_05

I'm gonna buy just like a couple bunches of them.

SPEAKER_17

And I'm gonna give it a banana.

SPEAKER_12

Are you gonna let him see you buy them? Uh you try to give them the flame? He sits there and see, what? Do you think I'm a charity case? I don't need your bananas, lady! I have bananas!

SPEAKER_08

You wanted them.

SPEAKER_12

I want to buy them! I don't want to be giving them like some goddamn charity case thing.

SPEAKER_11

I hate you! He runs away.

SPEAKER_05

I wanted to be friends! Bananas this week.

SPEAKER_12

As he stands there, see all right. Well that's most of my uh dailies. What do you need?

SPEAKER_18

Uh shoot, I haven't even thought about it.

SPEAKER_12

You haven't thought about like you haven't made your grocery list yet? It's pretty easy.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I mean I went shopping a few days ago because Jim ate everything in the fridge on the day that it became Black Tokemon X, so like I was a problem.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I could see that I didn't call you a problem.

SPEAKER_12

No, because I'm not one anymore. I'm not problematic. You're not, but well then why why didn't we come to the mall? What are you planning on doing?

SPEAKER_05

You said you needed to go here?

SPEAKER_12

And you didn't?

SPEAKER_05

No. You don't have anything planned for the day, do you?

SPEAKER_12

How would I have anything planned for the day?

SPEAKER_05

Hmm.

SPEAKER_12

Is that like something I was supposed to do, Flynn? I d I don't know. I'm not sure. Is that part of it? Uh give me a second. I just need to consult someone over here. They walk over there as you see him pull out his phone and then panically start pacing.

SPEAKER_03

It looks like he's panicked.

SPEAKER_12

A little bit.

SPEAKER_11

Hey, hey! What are you doing over here? It's a private private area.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, can you can you just tell him it's okay?

SPEAKER_12

We don't know what she's talking about. Everything is okay.

SPEAKER_05

Fine. Yeah, can you can you take a message to him and tell him it's okay even if nothing is planned? It's fine.

SPEAKER_12

He walks back over and sees, okay, it's all good. I have plenty of plans. I've got so many things that I can do. As you hear, Toe, Toe, you forgot to you forgot to hang up the Sapatamax.

SPEAKER_05

Hi, Tomanaga!

SPEAKER_12

Shut fuck! He throws the thing at the wall. Don't know what you're talking about, Tomanaga's not here. I'll collect it. So friend eats it.

SPEAKER_11

I fixed it. He's in my stomach now.

SPEAKER_05

Wait! Wait! Wait. Did you use the word date when you were talking with not Tomanaga on the phone?

SPEAKER_12

No. What? Why would I use the word date?

SPEAKER_03

I just wondered, because I said hi because I was happy to hear him. But if he if you just asked what kinds of things you're supposed to do on a date, and then I said hi, then he knows.

SPEAKER_11

Uh pale.

SPEAKER_08

He goes pale.

SPEAKER_12

Pale, look ahead. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Uh okay, cool. That's fine. It's fine. Like if things worked out, it's not like I was gonna try to hide it from the team anyway. And hey, you know, yesterday morning, uh Lena already asked me if I was in love with you, so it's not like anybody's gonna be particularly surprised. They find out.

SPEAKER_12

She what?

SPEAKER_05

She asked if I was in love with you.

SPEAKER_12

Why?

SPEAKER_05

Because when she told me you weren't doing okay, I freaked out kind of a lot.

SPEAKER_12

So she asked you if you were in love with me?

SPEAKER_05

Uh uh, well, she's like looking at- What did you say?

SPEAKER_12

What did you say to that?

SPEAKER_03

This sh I asking because you want to know what I told her, or because you wanna know what the answer is?

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, because you're I wanna know cause you literally started a story and you haven't finished it yet. Fine. I don't we don't need another bit. It's it's fine, it's fine, it's all good. No, I I really do wanna know. It it sounds interesting.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, so it wasn't just that, also a lot of the stuff uh she was asking about my deal was going on in the team and whatever, just kept circling back to you because she's the person that I know best on the team and everything, and she was kind of like uh calling me out for We gotta talk about this.

SPEAKER_12

This is fine, we we can move on.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, honestly, this is a bit sad.

SPEAKER_07

What's sad about it?

SPEAKER_11

Uh honestly, it just feels like a lot of awkward situations for all of us.

SPEAKER_05

Everything with me involved is awkward.

SPEAKER_11

Um that's I have noticed.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, level with me. Are you opposed to this too?

SPEAKER_11

Like opposed to what?

SPEAKER_03

I point at Tojiro myself.

SPEAKER_11

You're in general, like No.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe No, I mean like if I was dating Tojiro, are you opposed to that?

SPEAKER_12

Turn and see. What's dating Tojiro? Is that like hanging out? Uh kinda, yeah, sort sort of like hanging out. I don't really like hanging out with you. Yeah, ask a lot of questions and didn't help with the prep at all. So I'm kind of leaning towards.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, one, I wasn't asked to help, and two, I don't know how to cook anything, but I felt like it would be weird for me to mention that, so I just look at you with shock. What?

SPEAKER_12

You don't know how to cook anything?

SPEAKER_05

No.

SPEAKER_12

Wow, that's bad.

SPEAKER_05

It is. I know. I've been living out of like takeaway in the convenience store for the last year and a half.

SPEAKER_12

They stare at each other.

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_12

Alright, I know what we're doing today.

SPEAKER_05

You remember that my family was rich, right?

SPEAKER_12

Yep, and we're gonna fix that.

SPEAKER_05

We're fixed my family's wealth?

SPEAKER_12

What? No, just your just your dependence on it. Come on, you're driving me to your house.

SPEAKER_02

Uh okay.

SPEAKER_12

Wispy reappears at this point. Conf just looking at you with concern.

SPEAKER_05

What? Sorry guys, I need a moment. Um we're having we're having a conference. Okay. What, Wispy?

SPEAKER_12

Looks at them, looks at you.

SPEAKER_05

Hmm. Use your cat wisps.

SPEAKER_12

Towards the directions. Or the picket.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I might. Why?

SPEAKER_12

Why don't I gets real shy.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, okay. Is this is this because of what he smells like?

SPEAKER_11

Shakes his head.

SPEAKER_05

No you worried about them being in your space?

SPEAKER_10

Slightly nods.

SPEAKER_05

Huh? Slightly nods. Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Do you think it's too s too soon or you He blows He blows a catwisp, and uh this cat comes out and starts rearranging its head as it has now a wizard hat on, and then another catwisp comes out as it like pushes its things up so it looks like it has a hood and looks like Wispy.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

And then a third catwisp comes out and like assumes its hands up in the air above itself and lies down as the other one starts, like the wispy one starts picking it up and moving it, and then the wizard one comes over, slaps him, and takes it.

SPEAKER_05

Um, do you need time to like hide all your special things first? Okay, if I let you go in first through the door and hide your special things, and then you come out and tell us when you're ready. Is that good? Okay. Uh, Jem, do you have any concerns about it?

SPEAKER_12

No, I don't own knives and forks that Wizmon will steal.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Actually, you know what? I did tell you we were gonna buy you stuff.

SPEAKER_11

Oh. Hang on. Okay, I don't need stuff. I like people. I like this. This is good.

SPEAKER_05

You don't want any toys?

SPEAKER_12

Can I give them to Wispy?

SPEAKER_05

Uh, that's up to Wispy.

SPEAKER_12

Then yes, I want toys.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Okay. I'm gonna just ask though, because like, yeah, it would be convenient for me time-wise if we went shopping now while we're here. But since Wispy's concerned about hiding his special things, Wispy, do you want us to go shopping later so you can so you don't have to hide these special things too? Okay, alright. We'll go on a family shopping trip later then, okay?

SPEAKER_12

Hooray!

SPEAKER_05

Everybody good?

SPEAKER_16

Okay. I'm walking over to them.

SPEAKER_00

You took forever.

SPEAKER_05

I it's a it's a three-person conversation, and one of us doesn't use words, so I'm sorry that it's slow, but you're gonna have to deal with it. I'm not used to saying stuff like that, but it's gonna be fun! Let's go to the car.

SPEAKER_12

You head to your car as you drive Tojuro and your little girl.

SPEAKER_05

It's so easy to find. I walk up to my hot pink car.

SPEAKER_12

Get in the hot pink car as you drive back to your apartment.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh Tojuro and play with money in hand.

SPEAKER_05

When we get out in the parking lot, I'm gonna let Wispy just go straight out, fly up through the balcony, and uh do whatever he needs to. So, like, instead of coming through the building with us, he can just come in on the outside, fly through the glass, and then like do his thing.

SPEAKER_12

He does. Okay, I'm just gonna wait for him to you get up to your apartment door as Tejero just. What are we waiting for? What's going on?

SPEAKER_05

We're giving whispy a moment.

SPEAKER_12

Why?

SPEAKER_18

Because that is how things are done in this family.

SPEAKER_12

Okay. Twenty minutes. That's how long you're gonna be waiting. Would you wait that long?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Cool. After twenty minutes, the ghost flies out the door.

SPEAKER_14

Okay, you're good.

SPEAKER_12

And nods towards you. Yep.

SPEAKER_14

Okay. We'll unlock the door and come in.

SPEAKER_12

Cool. Cool. Uh, just for the purposes of this uh thing, we might just put you in essentially this apartment. Because that's what yours pretty much looks like right now.

SPEAKER_05

That's fine.

SPEAKER_12

Preston. He walks in and says, You have zero utensils. Yeah, you know I just You don't have any bowls or plates, you have no knives or forks? Nothing. You've got no spo You don't even have any pots or pans.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, well, I wouldn't have pots and pans because what would I do with them?

SPEAKER_12

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I didn't want to say this when we were in the the the restaurant kitchen, but like. I wake up in the morning, I walk out to the dining room table, I eat the breakfast that I ordered last night, the robot rolls up to me and it says, Hey, Miss Colby, what would you like for dinner this evening? And I say, What are the options that you can make with what we have in the fridge? And he gives me a list of options, and I say, I will take the smoked salmon and vegetables, please, thank you. And he says, Very good, and then he just rolls off, and I come home and it's there. That that's life.

SPEAKER_12

Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_05

I know.

SPEAKER_12

He opens the fridge as he turned back as he You said you went shopping.

SPEAKER_05

Wispy.

SPEAKER_12

He opens it, the fridge is Wispy.

SPEAKER_05

Where's the food?

SPEAKER_03

Wispy.

SPEAKER_12

I've shakes its head at you. You open this door, your bed linen's gone, your pillows are gone, your chair is gone, your la your computer is gone.

SPEAKER_16

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Most of your plants are gone, except the ones that would be impossible to- Wait a second, you guys just stay in the kitchen.

SPEAKER_08

Jem, be a good host. Wispy, I need you to come over here.

SPEAKER_12

Comes through.

SPEAKER_08

Shut that door. Wispy, where's my stuff?

SPEAKER_12

He uh he sits there as he puffs up his chest looking real proud.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you did you you hid everything super good. Gonna come open this closet just in case. Is it like stuffed to the top of everything?

SPEAKER_12

Empty.

SPEAKER_03

Wispy. Wispy, where did you put it?

SPEAKER_05

If it's in someone else's room, I need it back or if they find it and keep it, I it's gonna cost me hundreds of dollars to replace everything, Wispy.

SPEAKER_12

Wispy motions as if it's gonna be fine.

SPEAKER_05

No! Where is it?

SPEAKER_12

What's up to the wall and knocks his head against it. Put it in the next door.

SPEAKER_05

Wispy Is anyone living over there?

SPEAKER_12

He would sit for a second and then shake his head.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I need you to bring my stuff back.

SPEAKER_12

He makes the two whiffs as one does the flame mon thing and one makes himself a big rectangle as the that one walks over, pushes it open, and walks out.

SPEAKER_05

You want Flame Whiz to leave before our chef.

SPEAKER_12

He shakes his head. Oh not.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Alright. Um one second. I'll open the kitchen door and come back. Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Um You don't have any toilet paper in your toilet.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, we we need to talk. Wispy is concerned that flame is gonna uh destroy our stuff because we're just throwing stuff around the store. Um I just I need some reassurance that my stuff is going to be okay. So that I can convince him to bring it back.

SPEAKER_12

We can't make any promises. Yeah, we can't make any promises. If you got some like real bad stuff, I might burn it. Don't well I I'm not going to if yes. Keep it clear.

SPEAKER_05

What's the bad stuff you might burn?

SPEAKER_12

Well, let's see. What what sort of stuff is that? I don't know. You got like a bed?

SPEAKER_05

Yes, fortunately that was heavy enough it did not get moved.

SPEAKER_12

Ugh.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_12

Does it have blankets on the bed?

SPEAKER_05

Not anymore.

SPEAKER_12

You're good then, you're fine.

SPEAKER_05

I look back through the door. Whispy, did you know he hated blankets?

SPEAKER_12

Maybe not.

SPEAKER_05

Oh! Okay. Alright. Um tell you what, fly into the next door uh apartment and just lock the doors and the uh the patio glass door real good so no one could get in, okay? That way at least my stuff is s safe.

SPEAKER_12

He shrugs as he nods. He doesn't go anywhere.

SPEAKER_05

No. Is it already locked?

SPEAKER_12

Nods.

SPEAKER_05

You did that before you came.

SPEAKER_12

No, Jason said.

SPEAKER_05

Well then how do you know it's locked? Did you check it?

SPEAKER_12

Nods?

SPEAKER_05

Okay, alright. Okay, okay, okay. That's pro that's probably fine. How long were you planning on being here?

SPEAKER_12

Well, I was gonna teach you how to cook.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I don't own any stuff for that, so I do have dishes and I noticed. I do have dishes and silverware, but like, why would I have pots and pans and stuff?

SPEAKER_12

That's fine. Looks in as he. You don't have a lot here.

SPEAKER_05

Wispy, can you bring the food back at least? Please.

SPEAKER_12

That's going out.

unknown

Okay, so.

SPEAKER_12

It's gonna take some time as he it's all good. Uh, let's see. He walks into your bathroom, opens your cupboards. Wispy hasn't taken everything, just things that he likes.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Um, so out of curiosity, are all of like my magical girl things from the main room still here or gone?

SPEAKER_12

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

They're still here?

SPEAKER_12

They're still here.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

He didn't deem them very he didn't deem them very important.

SPEAKER_05

Totally fine. Um, is the bulk of my clothing still here or is that gone?

SPEAKER_12

No, no, that's gone.

SPEAKER_13

He likes the toilet paper. Enough that he stole it.

SPEAKER_05

It's fine. It's gonna be fine.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, normally my apartment does not look exactly like this, but it's okay. We're compromising.

SPEAKER_12

He walks over, finds your trash can, opens the trash can up as he hmm. Uh he full breaks the top off of it. Sorry.

SPEAKER_18

Argue though, he's kinda deliberate.

SPEAKER_12

It was deliberate, but we're improvising.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh he uh rips a bit of his shirt off as he like takes a piece of like what looks like just mass basic uh wood. Wraps wraps it around the wood. Uh and then pretty much gets Flame Wizmon to melt a hole into the pan uh into the bin lid on the side so he can insert the wood. Uh as he's made you a makeshift uh frying pan.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Please tell me we're gonna wash that before we use it.

SPEAKER_12

Of course we are. We sanitize everything. Flamwizmon. They put it in the water, flamewizmon heats the water up.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh soap, sanitize, all that. Lispy brings the food back. What food have you bought? You said you're a you don't cook.

SPEAKER_05

I presume that means that there's not a lot of you're gonna see a lot of just really impressive stuff like those Japanese sandwiches in the little boxes, um, rice balls, the the jugs of like fruit juice and milk and water. Um, I still have a couple of the donuts from yesterday left. Um, there's probably like top noodles.

SPEAKER_08

It's real noodle.

SPEAKER_16

It's real bud.

SPEAKER_12

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Um like her face is just covered in like takeaway place flyers. Neatly though, it's not like entirely just chaos, but like you can tell where top four are, you know. We could also buy stuff these.

SPEAKER_12

He goes about disassembling the sandwiches, uh taking the meat and things out and setting them aside. Uh he takes the noodles, uh, they cook them, work it in, do a bit of like stuff with the meat and things from the sandwiches, they use the uh donuts to sort of make a bread pudding situation.

SPEAKER_18

Come over here to watch.

SPEAKER_12

Uh I would love for you to roll an intelligence check.

SPEAKER_05

Uh Brains it is.

SPEAKER_12

Brains it is. Uh versus which will be 25.

SPEAKER_05

That's a 19 on a 20.

SPEAKER_12

Cool. He's not explaining super well. He's mainly just doing. Yeah. But you go out picking up really like what he's putting down. It's pretty easy to follow, as he shows you sort of how to cook.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh it's better if you have, you know, actual ingredients, but we make do with what we have.

SPEAKER_09

Thanks.

SPEAKER_12

Uh he's also using some of his stuff, so the flour and all of that, uh, for the bread pudding and all of that.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, when I have bananas, obviously, I just put like two bunches.

SPEAKER_12

He adds he adds the bananas into it. You uh oh wait, that's plus six, so that's a 19. Uh he he has one skill that's like cooking.

SPEAKER_11

It's not cooking, it's survival.

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah, that's fair.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. He has the upgrade from skill that. Uh, which I don't think you can get.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, I'm skilled at arts and languages and stuff. I don't need to be skilled at survival. That's my that's my thing.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. Uh oh, that's what it is. No, he's got two skill bats that apply here.

SPEAKER_18

Oh, nice.

SPEAKER_12

Uh he's got skill that survival and skill that uh skilled at something or other. It's not listed.

SPEAKER_16

Oh well, I believe you.

SPEAKER_12

I feel like it's pretty much like staying alive.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, that's fine.

SPEAKER_12

Um you know, using junk. Uh but yeah, he cooks up this meal as he hands it to you as he it needs spices and things like that, but for a basic living, this stuff is pretty good. Uh you taste it, it actually tastes really nice. For a person who literally eats gas station sandwiches and shit like that, this is this is pretty good. It's not your takeaway varieties, but it's pretty decent.

SPEAKER_05

That's doesn't seem like it's actually that hard. Like I probably couldn't.

SPEAKER_12

During this time, Wispy and Flame Wismon started hanging out together and playing something.

SPEAKER_05

Playing something, okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh eventually, you see them go out onto the balcony and then disappear. Um Gemon's just sleeping in the bed.

SPEAKER_18

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Alright, I'm gonna choose to trust my Digimon. And your Digimon.

SPEAKER_12

You gotta trust your Digimon.

unknown

Yeah. Thanks.

SPEAKER_12

They have their own things.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Um, thanks for for cooking and for not making fun of me for not knowing how.

SPEAKER_12

Uh well, I'm going to. I just didn't want it to be fresh before I did it.

SPEAKER_03

It's fine, I know it's pathetic.

SPEAKER_11

It's not pathetic.

SPEAKER_16

Yes, it is.

SPEAKER_11

But it is sad.

SPEAKER_16

It's really bad.

SPEAKER_12

It's not uh, it's not your fault you were born in the lap of luxury and your butlers did everything for you.

SPEAKER_15

We don't have butlers, we're next but they have robots.

SPEAKER_12

So much better. Do you do you need me to show you how to wipe your ass as well, just in case? You might it's a really hard thing to do sometimes, and I don't think that they that's something they would teach you.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, um the robots did not do that for me. I did learn. And you know that I'm telling the truth, because they smell like fruit and not shit.

SPEAKER_12

That is true, but maybe you just maybe you just shit fruit with this stupid diet that you have.

SPEAKER_16

I'm good.

SPEAKER_12

Considering you got a whole shoe rack area here that's missing, I don't know if you could.

SPEAKER_05

Wispy was concerned about his special things that he likes being damaged, and we don't have a big enough place that he has his own space, so I offered to let him hide them, and I thought he was gonna put like five things in the closet and close it. I did not expect him to move my entire apartment into my neighbor's place.

SPEAKER_12

So DJ Mon page of weird things.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Some things you wouldn't expect. But fun.

SPEAKER_05

Um, I'm sorry that I don't have enough space to own a bed and a couch, so I can't be like, hey, do you want to sit on the couch? And he also stole my computer chair, so I can't offer that either. But it do you want to go in the other room or do you want to just hang out in the kitchen?

SPEAKER_12

You asking me to sit on your bed with you?

SPEAKER_05

I think one of my Digimon is sleeping on it, so I don't think anyone is going to be sitting on it. I'm asking if you want to sit on the floor in the big room.

SPEAKER_12

I would love to sit on your floor in your big room.

SPEAKER_08

Walk into the other room and sit down.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, welcome to the sad little apartment that is only partially full of plants because the small ones got evacuated as well.

SPEAKER_03

Normally there are quite a few more.

SPEAKER_12

There's more?

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_12

Jesus Christ. So this one, this one, this one, and this one would all be too heavy for him to move.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, there's there's maybe like five or six little ones.

SPEAKER_12

Why? Um none of these are fruit uh like fruit or veg plants either. You're just growing flowers and stuff.

SPEAKER_05

What would I do with fruit or veg if I had it? I have to eat them raw because I don't know what I'm doing.

SPEAKER_12

You would cook at you.

SPEAKER_05

No meno's had a cook.

SPEAKER_12

You do now, so you have no excuses.

SPEAKER_05

You didn't use vegetables in that.

SPEAKER_12

Gemmon, if she doesn't cook stuff from now on, you get to take her supperama, call me, and I will yell at her. Okay, that sounds like a reasonable plan. See, Gemon agrees.

SPEAKER_08

You walk my Digimon up to tell her that.

SPEAKER_12

I wasn't sleeping. I just like lying on the mattress.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, well, that's fair. Someday I'm gonna have a place that's big enough that you can have your own space.

unknown

Hopefully.

SPEAKER_12

Ugh, sounds sounds so damn confining.

SPEAKER_16

What?

SPEAKER_12

Having somewhere big. You don't need everything like that.

SPEAKER_05

Oh no, I just want a third room so that I can put my bedroom in a separate place and own a couch. These are my lofty goals.

SPEAKER_12

This is so big. I mean so much place for activity. You could put a couch over there in that corner, or where those plants are. That is blocking that door. I mean, I could maybe put some of the plants on the balcony, but you could put it over there in that uh weird little front of that door. What's in the closet?

SPEAKER_05

Close.

SPEAKER_12

More so ever is he opens your closet.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, normally close.

SPEAKER_12

There is clothes. Um I was about to say there's no clothes in here.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, apparently Wispy likes my wardrobe. It's on the list of things that he likes.

SPEAKER_12

Uh, it's probably things that he Why do you want to see my clothes? Maybe I wanted to see if you wear anything besides your weirdo hoodie.

SPEAKER_08

Ugh.

SPEAKER_12

Um, you work at a school.

SPEAKER_05

You do.

SPEAKER_12

You would have an outfit.

SPEAKER_05

You've seen it before. It was the sexy lawyer outfit.

SPEAKER_12

Sexy lawyer outfit?

SPEAKER_05

That's what you called me. Twice on Tuesday. You did have head trauma that day though, so maybe you forgot.

SPEAKER_12

I did indeed forget that day. A lot of those details went away.

SPEAKER_05

That's fine.

SPEAKER_12

Um enough concussions.

SPEAKER_05

All you really need to know is that it's uh it's a really underfunded public school, so I'm not even gonna be eligible for the uniform until I survive six months there. So I'm just in the wear something black and red and we'll call it good enough, stage. Um. So you saw the the black dress and the red jacket already.

SPEAKER_12

Um and those are the two color two uniforms you have. No, wait, you have that weird colorful one with the like yellow ass jumper, don't you?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Uh, I wasn't really allowed to have colorful stuff, baggy stuff, anything that was childish when I was growing up, so now that I have my own money and my parents can't throw shit away while I'm at school, I combine stuff for myself. I gesture up at the pristine set of magical girl figurines on the shelf on the wall above where my computer is.

SPEAKER_16

Wow. I know. I have no idea why you thought going out with me would be a good idea, but I'm not gonna lie to you about what I am.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. Yeah, you m you definitely didn't lie that you're a nerd.

SPEAKER_13

No.

SPEAKER_12

Just a big old I just didn't realize that you were a goddamn lecherous. Yeah, let uh what's what's the word uh oh god.

SPEAKER_08

I'm not attracted to the little girls, I don't have them.

SPEAKER_12

So I hey man, I don't I don't judge. I don't judge your uh what porn you love.

SPEAKER_05

Wow. If I was into that, why would I be on a date with you?

SPEAKER_12

I'm pretty amazing. Uh it's not my fault. That's what gets you going.

SPEAKER_05

Are you gonna wear a skirt like that for me? Sorry, I shouldn't talk. I'm trying to drink things.

SPEAKER_12

Um hey man. You get you get your things out of your head. I ain't no sailor something something.

SPEAKER_05

And I'm not attracted to that. I wanted to be that when I was a kid. It's like I wouldn't want to have magical.

SPEAKER_12

So you're the one that's gonna wear those, uh, wear one of those skirts? Nice.

SPEAKER_05

Why?

SPEAKER_12

I just wanna know.

SPEAKER_05

Are you into that?

SPEAKER_12

I just think that's hey man. It's uh I'm not the one with all the mini um the collectibles about it. Oh this really At this point you hear Wispy and Flame Wismung come back over as flame uh is playing with uh spoons as Wispy is playing with forks.

SPEAKER_05

Oh! See Okay, you guys are getting along.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, it's good times. Wispy just showed me his whole stash. It was really cool, you know, apart from the dead body. There's a Swispy nods in agreement.

SPEAKER_03

Wispy, please bring my stuff back in here.

SPEAKER_12

Starts moving back.

SPEAKER_05

There's a dead body!

SPEAKER_12

It's alright. Yeah, it's alright. He's super dead, he's not getting back up.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, you like how super dead, like like fresh or like oh shit, there's been a dead guy over there for like you wouldn't know what the gay looks like. You don't watch the law in order.

SPEAKER_11

I'll go take a look. Thank you.

SPEAKER_12

Shh. Uh in about a minute. About three weeks.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how you didn't smell it through your walls.

SPEAKER_05

There's a lot of flowering plants. Okay. Um I'm sorry, I have to go climb onto my neighbor's balcony and start throwing my shit back in here because I'm not letting the world union people.

SPEAKER_12

I probably wouldn't do that if I were you.

SPEAKER_05

Why?

SPEAKER_12

That's how you leave evidence that you were over there? They can get Digimon fingerprints.

SPEAKER_08

I can't afford it.

SPEAKER_14

Jem, can you help? I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_12

The Digimon start moving shit back.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Over the course of 20 minutes. Thereabouts they get everything back over. It does have a weird must to it, including like your clothes.

SPEAKER_05

Have a little bit of a That's fine, I can afford the laundromat. I'm going to afford the laundromat. Okay, great. Call is all of my stuff back.

SPEAKER_12

Why do you need the laundromat?

SPEAKER_05

My clothes smell like that person.

SPEAKER_12

You don't have any detergent? Just wash them in your bathtub and then hang them on your line.

SPEAKER_15

What?

SPEAKER_12

He walks outside and pulls uh a clothesline that you didn't even know you had.

SPEAKER_03

Is that what that strain is for?

SPEAKER_12

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

How long has that been there?

SPEAKER_12

I presume the whole time.

SPEAKER_05

I thought it was for curtains.

SPEAKER_01

Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_12

Sometimes you run into someone who truly does not understand the world. And that is you, Shelly.

SPEAKER_05

I know. I think I mean I'm Why are you on my you know what? It's fine. It's fine, whatever.

SPEAKER_12

Where else am I gonna sit?

SPEAKER_05

Sit on my desk.

SPEAKER_12

No, thank you.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, that's that's fair. Well Um, hey wispy. Do me a favor. Would you be willing to play on the balcony and watch and make sure Taca's car doesn't come back?

SPEAKER_12

A deep sigh comes out as he heads out on the balcony.

SPEAKER_05

I'm gonna go lock my apartment door and check on my Savitama. Does my brother have location enabled?

SPEAKER_12

No.

SPEAKER_05

Make sure it's turned off on mine. Like I imagine it would be since she was trying to keep her family from knowing and just double checking. It's definitely off. He's he's my brother. I never told my family where I lived when I moved out, and then he just showed up here. Because apparently my father hired private investigators to find out where I lived, and so they've known I've lived here since the first day, and he just showed up without calling, texting, anything, and sounds like they really care.

SPEAKER_03

Are you being sarcastic?

SPEAKER_01

Which would you prefer?

SPEAKER_05

I'd prefer sarcasm, but honestly, I'm trying to figure everything out because it's like I was convinced that the moment my family figured out where I lived, they would try to break my lease out from under me and sell all of my stuff and make me move back home, and they haven't done that. They've let me be here for a year and a half, so I was clearly wrong, but like I don't know.

SPEAKER_12

I mean, why would they need to? They know where you are. They obviously don't need to make you come back.

SPEAKER_05

It's just it's been six days? Five days? I don't know, since the last time that my mother told me to move back into the mansion and quit my job and let her buy me a better one from one of her friends and all this stuff, so like they have made it very clear that they don't approve of me trying to do stuff. You asked why they would they need to like make me move back in with them.

SPEAKER_01

I don't I don't think you need to move back in with it.

SPEAKER_05

I don't want to.

SPEAKER_12

Then don't.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not gonna, but the point was not what I want to do. The point was why did I think that they were gonna do that to me? It's because they say shit like this to me, and they've been saying shit like this to me my whole life.

SPEAKER_12

People can say whatever they like to you. It doesn't matter unless they have anything.

SPEAKER_05

I just don't back to the thing from earlier. I just don't want to end up completely alone. And yes, I have Digimon now. It's been a wild week, and I appreciate it, but there's some things that they don't understand that people understand, and I feel creepy and weird trying to like Well, not trying to, I'm not doing it, but like if I was going to try to have my Digimon actually like take care of all the stuff, you know? We came back to the base last night, and uh Alina checked on me and like patted my head and stuff. Like you see people do on TV or the movies, and it was nice. I'm not gonna tell Gemon, hey, I'm sad, please pet my head.

SPEAKER_12

Walks over and pats your head. Well fuck. We're all here for you. Lamp ladders aren't just a bunch of fuckers that just hang out sometimes.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but this is kind of the point, like I don't know. The money that I was saving up that got stolen from me overnight Sunday was like first month's rent and a deposit and like furniture money and stuff for a bigger place because I was kinda hoping to um shit. I think I'm gonna sound extremely pathetic if I actually just tell you this.

SPEAKER_01

You're already pretty pathetic in this situation.

SPEAKER_12

So just go ahead.

SPEAKER_05

I was gonna try to rush into relationships so that when they go to the stupid prison egg next year, I won't be completely alone out here. And there's a part of me that is pissed off that I that I didn't just give that creep what he wanted last night because what if that was my chance? Like what if nobody else is gonna like me because I'm a trash person and so only trash people are gonna want to be around me, and I don't want to be completely alone, and there's a lot that I can tolerate if it means that I don't have to be completely alone, but I just hate that there's even a part of me that's considering it.

SPEAKER_00

Stop it.

SPEAKER_02

What?

SPEAKER_12

Stop crying. Stop!

SPEAKER_05

You had this whole thing at the store about how I should feel emotions, and now they're too much again.

SPEAKER_12

You're allowed to feel emotions. You're not allowed to feel sorry for yourself. You're oh you're not allowed to fucking think lies or truth. You're not uh you're not alone? We're here. I'm right here. So you uh you can't be alone, because alone means you have nobody. So get that shit out of your head.

SPEAKER_05

It's not like you're just gonna be here every day though.

SPEAKER_12

Yes I am. Boom, already done. After I get my bread and shit, I'm coming here to cook it.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_12

No, uh. You need someone to be here? I'll be here. You want uh you want someone to talk to? I'm uh I'll get Lena on the phone and Lena will fucking talk to you for three hours whilst we go work out with her. You want someone to I'll talk you through how to fix a supper toma? I'll find Simon and Simon will come here and work on your bullshit with you. Me and Tommy'll come here every fucking second day to make sure you know how to cook.

SPEAKER_05

You're uh you're gonna tell Tommy you've been coming over to my place.

SPEAKER_12

Tell Tommy everything. Tomanaga is my boy.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Well, since he can't keep your secrets worth shit, I should just assume everybody else is also gonna know it, but that's okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Anyone who thinks Tomanaga can't keep a secret doesn't know Tomanaga.

SPEAKER_05

Ah he's told me multiple things that you told him.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. But that's not secrets, that's just shit that I told him.

SPEAKER_05

You were okay with him telling me that you thought I was cool in high school? You wanted me to know that. But was that a secret? Because it felt like a secret at the time.

SPEAKER_12

If it was oh, if it was meant to be a full secret, we would have never hung out. Maybe maybe I tell Tommy things and he knows what things other people should know. What he can tell. He's not terrible at this.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. You know, to be fair, to be fair to him, he did keep your uh cover story about yesterday, and also won't tell me whatever the history you two have is, so I guess he does keep secrets.

SPEAKER_01

That's not something you need to know about.

SPEAKER_17

What isn't?

SPEAKER_01

What our history owl history.

SPEAKER_05

It depends.

SPEAKER_01

It's not gonna come back to fight bite you.

SPEAKER_12

No, but in person it'll affect it me.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, and if this gets too serious, then stuff that affects you is gonna affect me. So at that point I do need to.

SPEAKER_12

Man, you're lame.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_12

So lame, you wanna be serious with me? Why you whoa. What a lame wad. He spins your chat.

SPEAKER_13

I'm gonna roll grit.

SPEAKER_16

Not that there's any reason to roll grit, I'm gonna roll this is an 11.

SPEAKER_05

No, is it bad? Like, take tokens bad.

SPEAKER_12

No, I never asked for it. Do I get foul a thing? You intended to.

SPEAKER_05

I don't intend to fail. I'm just vibe-checking, man.

SPEAKER_12

No, no, not intend to foul. You can't foul a thing.

SPEAKER_04

I can't get tokens on rolls that I call for.

SPEAKER_12

Your choice? Yeah, pretty much. Otherwise, I would be sitting here like, I'm gonna roll brains to roll brains.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, what do I get? Vibe check with an eleven.

SPEAKER_12

He honestly, with an eleven, you don't get a ton from him. There's a bit of like he finds you very serious in this moment, and he's just trying to joke around.

SPEAKER_18

Okay, that's fine. Then I'll drop it.

SPEAKER_12

You so you seem so in your head about everything.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Did I say something wrong?

SPEAKER_05

Huh? Did you say something wrong?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

No? Oh, well. Sometimes you say stuff and I can't tell how serious it is or not serious it is, and I am just choosing not to.

SPEAKER_12

Is this because I called you lame?

SPEAKER_18

No.

SPEAKER_12

Cause I just want you to know I am serious. You're very lame.

SPEAKER_03

I wish you had not used the word seriously.

SPEAKER_12

You're like the lamest dude I know. I know.

SPEAKER_03

I know. I understand this is gonna be the only time we do this. It's fine.

SPEAKER_05

Um yeah, I uh it took a while after graduation to like come to terms with the fact that I had uh wasted my chance, I guess. And then I moved on with my life and maybe just let me get through this and then you can But I like talking. Okay, fine. You can interrupt me and then I'll just get thrown off and I won't say the thank you. No, go ahead.

SPEAKER_12

I just want to ask questions.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, go ahead, go ahead. What is it?

SPEAKER_12

Wasted your chance for what?

SPEAKER_05

Being friends with you.

SPEAKER_12

Oh. I wouldn't have been friends with you back in high school.

SPEAKER_02

Ouch.

SPEAKER_12

And that's not about you. I wouldn't have been friends with anyone in high school. I you think that you missed out. I pushed people away. Not because I didn't want friends or anything like that, but there was more important things to me than ever talking to anyone. I felt uh people think that I hold a grudge to all the people who like bullied me. I couldn't give a fuck about them. I don't remember a single one of them.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, well that's good.

SPEAKER_12

Whereas I remember you because it seemed like everything that I did, the amount that I worked and how hard I put every effort into things, how uptight and stringent I was, and it just felt like you were the opposite. You didn't I don't I don't want to say you didn't care, but like you didn't have to care.

SPEAKER_05

Not at school.

SPEAKER_00

And not yeah.

SPEAKER_05

At school, I was just uh a prop for Haraka and Rain, and I got through the day, and then the other stuff happened at home. Uh my older brother is a genius, so everything just came to him, and then that kind of set my father's expectations. And the this stuff just did not come to me, but I should be capable of the same thing, because I'm also his child, so couldn't have his DNA being inferior. So uh I was supposed to get A's and everything as well. I was supposed to be on the advanced track and everything as well. And I couldn't do it. And so it wasn't too long before stuff just got taken away. Hanging out with friends, that's a distraction. You can't you can't do that until you get your grades up. You wanted this thing for your birthday or for a holiday? Well, fuck you. I bought you another year of private tutoring for math because you're behind. You should be happy, it's an investment in you. Couldn't go to the class trips, couldn't go to parties, couldn't date anybody, even if I wanted to. Continued all the way up through college, just these are things that smart people get to do. If you just were better, I wouldn't have to push you so hard. And uh school for better or worse, it's a place that my father didn't interact with me directly.

SPEAKER_17

So I guess in some ways it was a break, but I mean...

SPEAKER_12

you're you seemed free, there was a literal moment where you were the only person I saw. And it had nothing to do with you at school, with whoever the fuck they were, Haruka. Don't even know who that is. Uh some weirdo.

SPEAKER_15

She was one of the athletes. And but that doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_12

Ugh. And whoever Rin is, they sound dumb. Did they beat me in grade? No. They'll beat me up for being the smartest. Well, obviously they're shit at what they did. But It didn't matter about them, and it didn't matter about anything else. When I saw you, and everything seemed to click, was when I saw you drawing. Cause at that moment, I don't know what your dad's talking about, you not being smart as your brother. Cause fuck me, did I just hate you for a minute? Cause no matter how much I drew and how much time I spent dealing with art, I watched you and you just did it. I I went home that day and I tried to draw the exact thing you drew, and I had a breakdown.

SPEAKER_09

Oh no.

SPEAKER_12

Because I just could not do it. And then every time in art class I would watch you draw. And I would freak out about how I couldn't do it. Until it got to a point that I wasn't freaking out anymore. I was just watching. If your dad thinks you don't have talent or you're not smart or anything like that, he's a fucking moron because you are a genius. I don't know how you do it. And it pains me. Well, if that's I got into the egg mainly due to an art scholarship.

SPEAKER_05

What? Good for you. I think. You came back out, so I don't know whether. Did it upset you that I called it the prison egg? Did you like it in there?

SPEAKER_12

He seems to just head goes down as he. It's not really that great. Okay, but fantastic. Not because of the egg. But regardless, I got into that and I felt like such a goddamn fraud. Cause the more I looked at every piece of art I created, and the more people were like, This is awesome, all I could sit there and think is, I'm not the best. Your brother? If that's how he makes you feel, I can see how frustrating that is. But at the same time, I think in time when things became what they were, I just started to feel like maybe it didn't. I didn't have to be the best. I didn't have to compare to you anymore. I couldn't compare to you. Not there. And so eventually I just started thinking, who am I?

SPEAKER_17

And what was the answer?

SPEAKER_01

I'm working that out.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

But right now, I'm the guy sitting on a really weak ass mattress with no blankets on it.

SPEAKER_08

Bro!

SPEAKER_12

In a cute girl's apartment that her Digimon has stolen all her shit out of and put in with a dead body.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

And she can't even fucking cook. What a sad life.

SPEAKER_18

You called me cute.

SPEAKER_12

I also said you can't cook.

SPEAKER_18

Which is true.

SPEAKER_12

I really I really neg the shit out of you. There's no- I also called that sad.

SPEAKER_05

It it is. Sorry, I don't get offended by the truth. People have said multiple times with you, with Lena, with Keo, like, oh, they're being mean. I hope they didn't say anything that upset you. Don't worry about it and whatever. And it's like. Why would I be upset? I'm not as good at you I as you I do suck. Like, whatever the thing is, that they're they're shouting at me. Yeah, it's true.

SPEAKER_12

The moment that you think that's true, you're fucking kidding yourself.

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_12

Because you're way cooler than Keomori.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, she didn't say she was cooler than me. She said, We're not on the same team because I'm better than you, which is true.

SPEAKER_12

That's not true at all.

SPEAKER_05

It is.

SPEAKER_12

She's not better than you. She's a piece of shit.

SPEAKER_05

I've been doing this for a week. Objectively, skill-wise, she is.

SPEAKER_12

Skill-wise, she's a piece of shit. Fuck her.

SPEAKER_05

I disagree, but I think she's dumb. Because she left you guys behind, and you've been more welcoming than pretty much any other group of people that I've met. Like, she could have had something incredibly valuable and she threw it away for what? Prestige? I don't that stuff doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_07

Anyway.

SPEAKER_00

That's right. Stuff doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_17

Thank you for what you said about my art.

SPEAKER_05

You probably don't remember all of the stuff that I made, and that's fine. There was a while there in like our second year where I was trying to talk to you through paper.

SPEAKER_12

He pulls out his sapatama, moves something across. It is glitching heavily as he goes in and throws it to you. Uh, it is a photo album.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_12

You look it's art. Those are all the pieces I tried to recreate. None of them are right. Is it pictures of all of it?

SPEAKER_05

Is it pictures of my art or pictures of his attempt?

SPEAKER_12

It's a picture of his attempt at your art.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

From when you were in school.

SPEAKER_05

She's gonna swipe through that while she's listening to him until she gets to the C one that I've written a description of. I'm telling you that because there's like a hologram screen, so you potentially can see that, but go ahead and keep talking.

SPEAKER_12

Mm-hmm. Uh the C one that yeah, you slide through. Uh, it is a whole thing in there. Uh he just goes he goes quiet with it as you look.

SPEAKER_05

No, I want to hear what he's saying. I'm just telling you.

SPEAKER_12

He's he's not saying anything, he's letting you look.

SPEAKER_09

Sure.

SPEAKER_12

You get to the one that knew uh the So yeah, I can describe it if you want. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um, so it's an underwater scene. The bottom portion of it is like um a coral reef with animals on it. It's very loose and organic and everything, and there's like uh almost like a light source down towards the bottom, which is weird. You would think that there would be more light at the surface of the water, but it actually gets darker as you get closer to the surface. Um at the surface, there is a mess of like foam and stuff, and then one of the corners, there's the only like symmetrical perfect thing in the painting, which is I'm assuming you have these two, but we have like these plastic ring things, so if you buy like a six-pack of drinks, they'll have like plastic binding around the necks of the bottles or whatever. If you don't, it's trash. But um, they're perfect symmetrical circles, clear, straight lines. This is the only thing that's precise. The rest of it is loose and organic, and there's places where maybe it's a bit uneven, it's a bit asymmetrical, but any mistakes in the line work are just integrated into the piece itself.

SPEAKER_13

And she just stares at it. Well, at his version of it, but that's what it looks like.

SPEAKER_12

His version? So a lot of his art looking at this, he's good. He's really good. However, looking at it, it literally feels like someone has taken a piece of art and thrown it into like an AI, essentially. It's like it's cleaner, it's lines are better, things are just like outright. If you like put it there, it's picture realistic. It doesn't feel right. Like, it doesn't convey anything that you were there, the uh the like things in view, the th uh all the things you were talking about are sort of like lesser defined because they're so defined.

SPEAKER_11

The plastic rings floating there are now a lot heavily visible withn amidst the foam.

SPEAKER_12

The uh sunset, its colour hue has been changed ever so slightly to be more realistic, but not there. It's the factor of someone painting without the feeling.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I wrote down technically correct, but no soul. Because I think that's basically what you're saying.

SPEAKER_11

Essentially.

SPEAKER_12

He walks over, takes his sapatama, moves it across, uh, and sends you a picture. This is not a picture of the thing he just showed you. This is a picture of the real one. How do you think I copied you? I'll tell you. I took pictures of all of your things. Hoping I would get some sort of understanding of how to do it.

SPEAKER_07

I uh my parents did not communicate that I only had 48 hours to get my stuff out of my room when I left. I moved out on a Saturday and set up here and went to work on a Monday, and then went back to their house the next weekend, and my father had thrown all of my stuff in the incinerator. I didn't bring the painting because I thought it would get damaged in my car. And he burned it.

SPEAKER_17

I'm not going to my mother's birthday party.

SPEAKER_07

For my family to work. And the moment it stops being okay to talk about me like this in order to treat my stuff like this, then I'm going to get angry. And I can't afford to get angry at the only people that I have, but they're not the only people anymore.

SPEAKER_01

That's right.

SPEAKER_07

I can't believe you still had it. I never took a picture because I had the real one, you know.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, fuck you for that. Would have been way easier to copy if I had the real one. Seen every brush stroke. How to do every bit.

SPEAKER_06

I thought about recreating it, but it was meant to tell my parents that I cannot live in captivity.

SPEAKER_07

And they burned it. And there's a poetry in like my greatest attempt to try to communicate me. Destroy. I just don't have the heart to do it again.

SPEAKER_00

You don't have to.

SPEAKER_05

In a while because all of my paint I uh splattered across my balcony a few days ago, and I am not gonna be able to afford more for a bit, because I have loan payments.

SPEAKER_01

I don't really paint much anymore. Just a draw now.

SPEAKER_17

Just an offer.

SPEAKER_01

I appreciate it.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Like Sure, you're always dumb.

SPEAKER_17

I know.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. But you're not dumb, dumb.

SPEAKER_03

Just you know gonna have to come along behind all of your insults, because I will just accept them all as true.

SPEAKER_12

Well then. Keep telling you which ones are s oh which ones are wrong.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um. But yeah, I told you you uh You beat me for the first art contest because I half-assed it. Sorry, that sounds arrogant. I did half-ass it, and you beat me.

SPEAKER_12

Don't worry. I know.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Well, it was like I know you half-assed it.

SPEAKER_12

I was pissed. You didn't even for days.

SPEAKER_05

I'm sorry. I didn't know there was competition. I never half-assed it again after that, if that makes you feel like that.

SPEAKER_12

That's the problem. There was no competition to you. To me, it's all that mattered.

SPEAKER_05

No, I mean, like, that was our first one of high school. You didn't go to middle school with me. You saw what the other kids in our class were capable of. I used to win first without trying.

SPEAKER_12

I know. That's why I was pissed. Why? Because you because even though I won, I could tell I didn't deserve to win.

SPEAKER_05

You did. The first one I could tell the Hey, I let you talk.

SPEAKER_12

No, you go ahead. You go ahead.

SPEAKER_05

The first one was like a scene from daily life and whatever. So not only did your piece stick out because all of the stupid rich kids are like drawing a car or a pool or something dumb.

SPEAKER_02

But like.

SPEAKER_05

Sorry. Just like walking down the hallway and it's stupid rich stuff, stupid rich stuff, stupid rich stuff. Mine's even stupid rich stuff. And then you had like a plant growing out of a crack in the concrete and a pothole full of water with this oil sheen on it, and the iridescence on the oil. Has bothered me since the beginning. Because, because your your transition of me between colors is like really subtle. And it was exactly how it looks. And I thought this guy actually sees the world when he looks at it. You know? Actually hears when he listens, is not just living in a daze like these other people. And I still can't do gradients like you. That's why don't use colored pencils because they suck. But it was striking and it was different. Huh?

SPEAKER_12

Nah. That's just another thing. It's just it's just technique. It's just shit I'd read, things I learned. You know what that uh that whole thing was supposed to be daily life?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

I've never even seen something like that. What? That wasn't my daily life. That was just bullshit.

SPEAKER_07

But the veins on the leaf was just like.

SPEAKER_12

I was meticulous. But I'd never seen anything like that. I'd never thought of anything like that. I just got reference images, put them together, because I knew that would win. I have been everything. If I drew my fucking daily life, it wouldn't be as fun as that. Wouldn't be beautiful. What did you want me to draw? Kid with burn marks on his skin? Uh cupboard with nails in it? Ain't nobody gonna give that first place.

SPEAKER_17

Cupboard with nails?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

What's that for?

SPEAKER_01

So you don't keep moving.

SPEAKER_17

If your parents weren't dead, I would never mind.

SPEAKER_01

Don't Don't go there.

SPEAKER_17

I already did on Friday, but you know, maybe we don't need to talk about that.

SPEAKER_01

We definitely don't need to talk about that.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

My parents were messed up. They weren't great people, but they didn't deserve what happened. Nobody did.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

This is too fucking deep.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry.

SPEAKER_12

We should go. Tom and Aga said we should go to cafe, and then I told him I don't have money, and he said cafe serves water. So could we go to a cafe?

SPEAKER_04

We go to a cafe, I'm gonna wanna buy stuff.

SPEAKER_12

Hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Would you take it?

SPEAKER_12

It's not good then. Let's go for a walk in the park.

SPEAKER_05

Have you eaten today?

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, I hadn't uh I had the same thing you just did.

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_12

I don't cook and not eat.

SPEAKER_05

Well, you did with the bananas.

SPEAKER_12

Uh that's work. You don't get high on your own supply. Also Yeah, that's that's a quick way to lose business.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

I have been eavesdropping the whole time.

SPEAKER_05

That's fine. I just wanted to make sure my brother wasn't coming back. Okay, great, cool. Uh, the donuts that are still here were for you. I was really excited that yesterday was our first day as friends. And so I bought them. So we were gonna hang out yesterday morning, and then I did not offer your portion to Lena because I don't need her knowing that some days I just eat sugar. But if you want them, uh, there's still like three.

SPEAKER_01

I ain't gonna say no to free shit.

SPEAKER_17

Okay. They're in the kitchen.

SPEAKER_12

Takes them. Gives them to Flame Liz who puts them in the bag that they had previously.

SPEAKER_02

Good. Yeah, we can go walk in the park, sure.

SPEAKER_12

Sounds good. So, over the course of the next few hours, you go for a walk in the park. Is there anything else you would do on your agenda? It's pretty you know, nice, not crazy. Um There's moments that use talk between. If you if you want to say anything, you could.

SPEAKER_05

I think if we're going to a park, if it has a playground, I am probably going to play with my Digimon. Oh, it does. Like push them on the swims and stuff. Because they're still kids, after all.

SPEAKER_12

You do, and they have a wonderful time. Uh yeah, honestly, hours spring by. I'm not gonna go deep into the depths of the game.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah, this is like have a 10, 12 hour long thing.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah. Um nothing special happens whilst you're playing with them at the park. It's pretty decent, pretty chill. Fun day.

SPEAKER_05

So I'm gonna have to eat again eventually. And uh I I don't think I want to see my family today. I was going to go to the party. I honestly plan to tell you, like, hey, I need to be done at five. Um but that didn't work out. So I can I don't know if you want to just keep hanging out, but I can figure out what to do for dinner. But, um, there's you don't want to somewhere I need to take you at nine o'clock.

SPEAKER_12

Alright. What are we spending the whole day together?

SPEAKER_05

Uh maybe.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. That's fine.

SPEAKER_05

Can I buy you dinner since I actually have money? It would be weird for me to buy food and then eat it in front of you.

SPEAKER_12

You could make us dinner. That's a good idea.

SPEAKER_00

You can buy us dinner, but today only.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. But condition before the next cooking lesson, you go grocery shopping. And uh you help me figure out what I need to actually buy, because I don't know what goes in anything.

SPEAKER_12

I'll get Tom and I'll get to send you a list.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

I'd send you a list myself, but I don't understand texting. I never will.

SPEAKER_05

If you get him to if Okay, what are the odds he's just gonna show up with all of his stuff purchased for me so that I don't have to do it? I worry.

SPEAKER_12

That's a 50-50 chance. But that's the world we live in.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well. Whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um don't worry about it.

SPEAKER_05

You sure you're not like I don't know. Bored annoyed, miserable, uncomfortable, any of that stuff. What would I Because it's me?

SPEAKER_12

Why would I be miserable?

SPEAKER_05

Because it's me. And I'm lame.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you're lame, but you're not like boring.

SPEAKER_05

Please tell me you're not just like here because you need entertained, and I'm entertaining. I already have somebody else who just treats me like entertainment.

SPEAKER_12

If I needed you because you're entertaining, I would be shit out of luck as fuck. You are so lame.

SPEAKER_05

You can say it, it's okay. Yeah, uh, he only seems to be happy when I am actively stressed out or overwhelmed or run down. Which he thinks is entertaining. Uh I realize That sounds stupid. Yeah. Oh, hey, just in case, um Does it make sense to you that sometimes I need time to rest after stuff's been really stressful and I don't want to just go do adventures every day, all day.

SPEAKER_12

I I couldn't give a fuck.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, it's fine.

SPEAKER_12

If you you need a rest, you need a rest. That's just like vectors. Yeah. That gives us time to hang out.

SPEAKER_11

Hell yeah, buddy.

SPEAKER_05

Also got called boring.

SPEAKER_12

That's just because you're boring. Hey, she's not boring Flame Whiz. I'm sure he's lame.

SPEAKER_14

Boring him though.

SPEAKER_12

I am pretty bored here.

SPEAKER_11

And she hasn't interacted with me, like once.

SPEAKER_14

Sorry. What would you like to do? We'll walk over to him.

SPEAKER_12

Well, first off, you've you've given Tojuro a heart-to-heart. Where's my heart to heart? Oh, sorry, buddy. He stopped walking off.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Um, do either one of you guys want to hang out with Tojiro right now? Just checking. This is your chance.

SPEAKER_12

Whispy goes back to the playground.

SPEAKER_05

That's what I thought.

SPEAKER_18

Gem? Playground with Wispy?

SPEAKER_11

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_18

Or go meet.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, please.

SPEAKER_18

Alright! Cool.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Hit me with the deep emotion.

SPEAKER_18

Sure. Yours or mine?

SPEAKER_12

Yours, yours. I mean I'm waiting for you to start crying so I can dispense wisdom.

SPEAKER_16

Okay. But before I start.

SPEAKER_05

Uh I'm never gonna tell anybody about your s your smoke form or your fire form, even though they were both adorable. Okay? It's fine.

SPEAKER_11

You better not. You better not.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not. I I'm glad you're okay. I just thought you were really cute. And I don't know why you don't like those forms, but you don't get to call me cute! Yeah, I do.

SPEAKER_11

Not cute. I'm cool!

SPEAKER_05

Hey, we're in a heart-to-heart! I get to see what I feel, man! That's how this works.

SPEAKER_11

That's not how this works! You don't get to call me cute!

SPEAKER_05

But yeah, no, just the little forms. I drew the picture of you because I thought you looked really awesome when you were making that fireball, and I actually took a picture even though it was in the middle of the fight, and I feel a little bit bad about it, but man, did it help with the details?

SPEAKER_18

I haven't had time to get to the second artwork you requested, though, yet, I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_11

I what? Find you impossible. How dare you not have it ready to go?

SPEAKER_07

Yesterday was a rough day.

SPEAKER_11

It doesn't matter how rough the day is, you still get the work done. I take care of- Do you think we don't have rough days?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know.

SPEAKER_11

We have all the rough days.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

I've been out here going crazy with uh Tojuro and me fighting over bananas for the last 70 weeks. But we still get it done.

SPEAKER_05

See, you know, I bought you the bananas you wanted so you could make a test run of the product your way and see if it did actually sell better. Give me a cut of the profits if you feel like it. I don't need that, but it was just, you know.

SPEAKER_12

You don't get my money!

SPEAKER_04

We didn't want charity.

SPEAKER_18

I was just anyway. It's fine.

SPEAKER_12

It's fine, it's fine. Now hurry up with the life-altering uh field trip.

SPEAKER_18

Life altering stuff, okay.

SPEAKER_12

Lena got one, Amanaga had one, where's my one?

SPEAKER_05

I'm not sure what you'd even be interested in.

SPEAKER_12

Dispense some wisdom.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, you want I thought you wouldn't dispense wisdom to me.

SPEAKER_11

No, no, because you changed their lives, so you have to have been saying something, right?

SPEAKER_05

Wait, I changed their lives. What?

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, do you not notice that? No. I'm the only person with eyes on this team.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, to be fair, I don't know them from before I knew them. And I don't know what they're like when I'm not around because I'm always around when I'm around. But okay. Um I really want to know why you don't like your little forms. They're just a little forms.

SPEAKER_10

It's not me. I'm me.

SPEAKER_05

How's it not you? We all have sides of ourselves that aren't great, but like you will always be this, even if you're little.

SPEAKER_12

Do you like being little you?

SPEAKER_05

It's not my favorite, but I know it's gonna pass.

SPEAKER_11

What a that's that's not an answer. Then you're not okay with being little you! You wanna become big you.

SPEAKER_05

I guess. But I'm not embarrassed of little me, because it's just a part. If I was, I wouldn't be crying in front of people.

SPEAKER_11

Then why would you be why did you cry in front of Tojuro about how bad it was back when you were kids?

SPEAKER_05

Just I feel safe enough to actually let him know that I get hurt by stuff. I don't have a lot of people that I feel that safe with.

SPEAKER_11

See, that was that was the kind of like little You're not really changing my life with this information.

SPEAKER_05

I don't think I changed their lives either. But I just wanted you to know no matter what you look like, I still see this, she gestures at him. When I look at you. If you get bigger or smaller, you're still this, and you're still really, really cool.

SPEAKER_12

I am pretty cool.

SPEAKER_05

I know.

SPEAKER_11

But I'm cool as I am, not as I was.

SPEAKER_05

Why just like this?

SPEAKER_00

Okay then.

SPEAKER_05

What? You're not gonna tell me.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know anymore.

SPEAKER_18

It's okay.

SPEAKER_12

This field trip is over. My life-changing field trip didn't change my life. No, I'm sorry, buddy. That sucks.

SPEAKER_08

Change the other people's lives. I don't think that's real.

SPEAKER_12

There's time goes on, uh, you go into the night, you go have a meal. At some point you would get uh your supper timer would start blowing up unless you turned it to like do not disturb.

SPEAKER_05

Is it my family?

SPEAKER_12

It is your uh it is your father, mainly.

SPEAKER_17

What time is it?

SPEAKER_12

Around five, five thirty when the first call comes in.

SPEAKER_05

I'm thinking does he leave a voicemail?

SPEAKER_12

No, he just hangs up and calls again. Just over and over.

SPEAKER_05

I wanna set my phone to do not disturb after the third one.

SPEAKER_17

Just put it back in my pocket.

SPEAKER_12

So Drew doesn't ask questions as the night becomes uh you have a decent meal, a good time as you head into that night.

SPEAKER_18

We're keeping company with that.

SPEAKER_12

You're good. Doesn't affect me. I'm happy to hang out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Seems like an easy thing to do.

SPEAKER_05

You would think. Okay.

SPEAKER_18

Um, do you wanna know where we're going beforehand, or do you want to be surprised when we get there?

SPEAKER_03

Because you trust me enough to go, apparently, which is good.

SPEAKER_12

I don't need to know where we're going.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I trust you.

SPEAKER_04

Might regret that. I'm gonna take him to the bar.

SPEAKER_12

You take him to the bar as he. I know this bar. Lena comes here all the time.

SPEAKER_18

She does. We're going in the back.

SPEAKER_12

Why are we going in the back?

SPEAKER_04

I know a guy, and I'm gonna open the back door, go into the storage room, move the barrel, and go down the ladder.

SPEAKER_12

Please head down the ladder. Head down. Uh, as you come into the space here. Oh.

SPEAKER_05

Ah! I what happened to me? I just moved myself there I am. Clustering my people on the left, there would be space for Tojiro.

SPEAKER_18

Oh, stand like Ezra.

SPEAKER_12

Tojuro, Flame Wisp. All come in as this place is packed full. They're not here.

SPEAKER_08

I was wondering.

SPEAKER_12

Like, oh just a fuck ton of people all around, people sitting down drinking, all of that. Music is playing as Sojura looks around and sees flies as he. Oh my god! Oh my god, it's Vex playing! Oh my god! I don't know what this morning.

SPEAKER_05

I thought since it didn't work out yesterday.

SPEAKER_12

I'm gonna try and get a spots. I'm gonna try and get a spots into the stage. You get us drinks! Keep pushing. They try and push through a mosh bit of people.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, a couple of words at the box.

SPEAKER_12

Uh Gemmon runs in after Tojuro.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay. Sure.

SPEAKER_12

Uh I'll put her over there. But as you're there, Wispy does stand there for a second before Wispy looks around and just flies off this way. Excitedly.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, okay. Like good excited.

SPEAKER_12

It seems like it. Okay, can I get you some drinks?

SPEAKER_05

Uh yeah. Um. Can you just give me a couple of beers? Nothing fancier.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. There's two beers out.

SPEAKER_18

Hang on a second, I'm gonna just uh peek around the corner and see where my Digimon is gone. I'm right here.

SPEAKER_12

You see him up here, looking down this way, talking to someone.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_12

Uh who is hidden by Villa. You see him. You actually hear some like noise coming from here.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Uh yeah, what do I what do I owe you?

SPEAKER_12

He is bartender.

SPEAKER_05

What do I owe you?

SPEAKER_12

Nothing. I'm the house.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you. I'm gonna pick him up. And like I'm on the stairs.

SPEAKER_18

I know where Tojiro's going, so I'm gonna just uh come down the hall a little bit after wispy and just see.

SPEAKER_05

If I can get all the way up that I can see the person, I'm gonna do it.

SPEAKER_12

You'd have to get about here before you see the person.

SPEAKER_18

I mean, if nobody reacts as I'm approaching, I'm gonna do it.

SPEAKER_12

You get there. As walking up you ke. Well, ain't this as sad as you would see polio looking back at you. And that's where we're gonna end the session.

SPEAKER_08

Fuck this boy.

SPEAKER_04

I thought you were dead, and then I'm like, Shelby doesn't know that. Oh, right.

SPEAKER_11

Uh well Well, hell.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Meanwhile, in the digital world running from running from death.

SPEAKER_05

Who's running from death?

SPEAKER_12

Everyone.

SPEAKER_05

We won the fight! Pio's mad at me! Pio's mad at me.

SPEAKER_08

And I'm looking forward to seeing my dark dig evolution.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it's coming. It's coming.

SPEAKER_12

Uh the good thing is, meanwhile.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Elsewhere.

SPEAKER_18

Oh, it's the server room or whatever.

SPEAKER_12

As a figure walks in, looking down as they spin around on the thing, as it lights up the same indicator, I believe it was this one, that indicated the world that uh good old Sangamon went to, as Varl Island comes up, as this person looks down as they anomaly detect it. As it zooms in, zooms in, zooms in, as Orcumon sits over the top of uh sits over the top of uh Cherimon. As it dispensing the royal knights.

SPEAKER_17

Sounds fine.

SPEAKER_12

That's where we're gonna end the session.

SPEAKER_18

Well that was an emotional roller coaster for me.

SPEAKER_05

And I wonder if the thing that uh Flame Wiz said at the end about me changing people's lives means that Leo's figured out what my element is. Or crest I get or whatever. Fingers crossed.

SPEAKER_18

Hopefully the concert goes well. I almost don't want to talk to Polio because I don't want the plots to interact. I just I just want to go back and be fine and pretend that tomorrow's not gonna be a disaster because I chose not to answer the call from my father.

SPEAKER_05

It occurred to me after session that it could be something really bad, like mom had a heart attack and she's in the hospital or something. Hope not! See you next week. Bye.
